Clinical Supervision for Marriage and Family Therapist Candidates

  • Are you working toward your LMFT licensure and looking for a supervisor who can help you make sense of what's actually happening in the room, not just clinically but in a real world sense, with your clients?
  • Do you find yourself at times unsure of what to ask or what to focus on when cases feel complicated?
  • Do you wish you had a clearer framework for understanding people? Not just a set of techniques, but a way of seeing what's really going on beneath the surface?

If any of this resonates, you may be a good fit for supervision with me.

I want supervision to be the place where heavy, complex cases become less overwhelming, not more.

What I offer

I provide individual clinical supervision for Marriage and Family Therapist Candidates working toward licensure in Colorado. With nearly 15 years of clinical experience across a wide range of populations, presenting issues, and therapeutic modalities, I bring a depth of perspective that goes well beyond any single specialty or approach.

My supervision isn't just about cases. It's about helping you become a grounded, confident clinician. Someone who can walk into any session, with any client, and know how to find their footing. Starting out as a therapist is daunting. People bring you things that are heavy, complex, and sometimes hard to make sense of. I want supervision to be the place where that becomes less overwhelming, not more.

You can bring me anything. Any case, any population, any presenting issue. And not just cases. The real world of being an MFT, what it actually feels like to sit with the things people bring you, how to think about your own development, how to navigate the professional landscape you're entering, all of that is fair game in our work together.

You can bring me anything. Any case, any population, any presenting issue.

Who this is for

This supervision is best suited for MFTCs who want to develop competence in human relationship work, regardless of the relationship type. Even if you're not primarily focused on couples work, we could still be a good fit depending on the kind of supervision you're looking for. And if you are drawn to couples work but find it daunting, overwhelming, or confusing, I can be a significant help there specifically.

What matters most is that you're looking for supervision that helps you understand people more deeply, not just supervision that checks a box.

How it works

Supervision sessions are 60 minutes, conducted either in person or via telehealth. You bring your cases, what you're seeing, what you've tried, where you're stuck, and we work through them together. Over time, you'll develop not just familiarity with specific cases but a transferable way of thinking about people that makes different presenting problems easier to understand and work with.

Colorado requires MFTC candidates to complete 100 total supervision hours over the course of their 2,000 post-degree practice hours, with at least 50 of those being individual supervision. I can help you meet that requirement while building something more lasting than just logged hours.

Individual supervision is $75 per session.
